I want to start with an apology for getting this week's forecast to you later than usual. The past few weeks have been intense, with a number of competing demands on my time, including the Descendant Return to Love class, which I am loving every minute of co-creating with my partner and friend, Meg. Venus retrograde in Scorpio is also at full strength right now, and I suspect many of you are feeling it as it brings so much to the surface for us to work with.
The good news is that this is a relatively gentle week, and it arrives at a welcome moment, because it gives us a chance to rest and gather ourselves before next week brings a number of oppositions and some real challenges, as Venus retrograde in Scorpio draws us further into the shadow.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are quiet in the sky, which leaves the early part of the week open and peaceful. Thursday and Friday are where the energy gathers, and it comes with a warm, encouraging quality because several planets in fire signs are supporting one another. On Thursday the Sun in Libra and Jupiter in Leo work together in an easy, friendly way, which makes generosity and confidence flow and helps whatever we planted at the New Moon in Libra this past weekend begin to take root. On Friday Mars in Leo and Saturn in Aries also support each other, which gives our drive and motivation a steady structure to work within, so the energy we feel goes toward something that lasts.
Thursday is also the big event of the week, because Pluto (pictured above) stations direct in Aquarius after five months in retrograde. When Pluto turned retrograde in Aquarius on May 6th, it began a five-month stress test of the technological systems and shared networks that connect us. Pluto dismantles and transforms, and Aquarius rules innovation, digital infrastructure, and community power, so this period pulled back the curtain on expansion that had gone unchecked. Over these five months we saw major AI insiders raising red flags about unsupervised risks, corporate leaders calling for stricter governance, and technology companies facing a reality check on overhyped promises. At the same time, public resistance grew against mass surveillance, leading to security audits and contract cancellations for automated license plate cameras across the country. As Pluto stations direct in Aquarius on Thursday, this intense season of uncovering systemic flaws comes to a close, which clears the air for stronger boundaries, better oversight, and recalibrated digital policies.
The collective themes of the last five months have personal versions too, so as Pluto turns direct this week, here are a few questions to sit with.
Personal power and authority
• Where in my life did I hand my decisions to a system, an institution, an algorithm, or someone else's opinion, and what would it look like to take that authority back?
Individuality and belonging
• Where have I been shaping myself to fit a group, a role, or an expectation, and what part of me has been waiting to be seen?
Boundaries, privacy and being watched
• What am I letting into my mind and my energy through screens and feeds that deserves more oversight from me?
Release and what comes next
• What structure, habit, or belief did these five months expose as outdated, and what am I ready to rebuild in its place?
Love,
Kris
This Week's Transits
October 15 (Thursday)
The Sun in Libra sextiles Jupiter in Leo \ Pluto stations direct in Aquarius
The Sun in Libra sextiling Jupiter in Leo makes generosity feel easy and mutual today. Pluto stationing direct in Aquarius marks the year’s return to forward motion on questions of collective power, a chance to notice how much has actually been learned about what “self-made” really means.
October 16 (Friday)
Mars in Leo trines Saturn Rx in Aries
Mars in Leo trining Saturn Rx in Aries pairs confidence with follow-through, giving real traction to whatever goal has felt stalled. This is a day for building rather than waiting for permission.
October 18 (Sunday)
The Sun in Libra opposes Eris in Aries
The Sun in Libra opposing Eris in Aries brings in Eris, the goddess of discord and chaos, who pulls back the veil on whatever has gone unspoken in our relationships. This opposition puts the Libra and Aries axis of self and other under a bright light and asks each of us to name honestly which side of that balance is our real growth edge, and the day can feel disruptive and discordant.
