Week of Sept 8 to Sept 13

Yesterday, I got back from a seven-day Huachuma intensive, working with San Pedro cactus medicine. For two of the three ceremonial days I was completely convinced I was separate. I attached myself to that story so convincingly I actually wanted to leave. On the third day I asked two dear friends and the main teacher, the keeper of Grandfather, for help. Creating that safety in community let me finally drop into the medicine, and the day that followed was full of love and bliss.

Looking back at my own chart, the astrology explains exactly what I lived. The Virgo Sun was moving through my 4th house, the house of home and the deepest root of belonging, during the very week I was away from home. My own instinct to act (Mars), sitting in my 1st house of self, squared off against my 11th house of community, the structure of the group (Saturn). That tension between Mars and Saturn released in my house of partnership, only after I asked for help. Two people I trust helped me open back up, and from there I surrendered to love, community, and moved straight into bliss. If you felt something close down last week, that same Mars-Saturn tension is very likely why.

This week's New Moon in Virgo, arriving Thursday at 8:27 pm PT, is where that lesson keeps working. Virgo rules the body and the daily grind of upkeep, the parts of life so ordinary we rarely think to call them sacred: the meal, the walk, the load of laundry, the hour of sleep. A New Moon here asks you to plant your devotion directly inside those small tasks, the same way I found my way back by staying present in the ceremony after asking for what I needed. Let this be the week your body and the ordinary hours of daily life become the actual site of the sacred. Set some meaningful intentions.

This coming weekend, three planets link up in what astrologers call a grand trine: Uranus in Gemini, Pluto in Aquarius, and Mercury in Libra, all in harmony. Uranus and Pluto have held that trine since July, a two-month backdrop rather than a one-weekend event. What is new this weekend is Mercury (the planet of the mind) steps into the harmonious configuration while also opposing Neptune Rx. This opposition is the 4th point that turns the grand trine into a magic kite: three planets in easy support, one planet pulling against them. In practice, this weekend brings a flash of real insight—something clicks, a pattern resolves, a next step becomes obvious—right as this week's New Moon in Virgo grounds enough in your own body to actually receive it. Neptune may try to fog your insight with doubt, but the guidance is to rely on what you see clearly. Let the fog pass through without taking you with it.

A few New Moon prompts for you:

•      Where in your daily routine could you plant a small, devotional beginning this week?

•      What does treating your own body as sacred actually look like today, in practical terms?

•      What have you been putting off that a simple, steady ritual could finally move?

And a few prompts for the kite:

•      What clarity have you already reached that you have been sitting on instead of using?

•      Where is idealism or fog standing in for a truth you already know?

•      If this insight had a tail to fly from, what would you need to let go of to launch it?

Love, Kris

THIS WEEK'S TRANSITS

September 10 (Thursday)

Venus enters Scorpio (1:11 am PT) \ Mercury enters Libra (9:22 am PT) \ Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini (11:27 am PT) \ New Moon in Virgo sextile Mars in Cancer (8:27 pm PT)

Four significant shifts arrive within one day, and each one touches a different layer of the architecture you are standing inside. Venus enters Scorpio at 1:11 am PT, trading Libra's diplomacy for Scorpio's demand that desire tell the truth about itself, an apt overture to the descent work already stirring in you this season. Mercury enters Libra at 9:22 am PT, and the mind that has been sorting and refining under Virgo now turns toward relationship, seeking the fair exchange rather than the perfect system. Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini at 11:27 am PT, turning the planet of sudden revelation inward, back over recent flashes of insight to ask which ones were real breakthroughs and which were reflex. And the New Moon in Virgo lands at 8:27 pm PT, sextile Mars in Cancer, a New Moon that asks for a devotional, practical beginning, made possible because Mars in Cancer is willing to protect the small daily commitment long enough for it to take root. Soul architecture is rarely built in one sweeping gesture. Today it is built in four separate adjustments, each asking a different part of you, desire, mind, insight, and beginning, to recalibrate toward what is actually true.

September 12 (Saturday)

Mercury in Libra trines Pluto Rx in Aquarius \ Mercury in Libra opposes Neptune Rx in Aries

Mercury in Libra trine Pluto retrograde in Aquarius hands your relational thinking real depth today, the kind of clarity that comes from naming what has actually been driving a dynamic rather than staying at the surface of politeness. In the same stretch of morning, Mercury in Libra opposes Neptune retrograde in Aries, and the fair, reasonable read Mercury just achieved meets Neptune's fog, an invitation to notice where idealism or self-deception is standing in for the plain truth you were just getting so clear on. Together these two aspects complete a kite: Mercury in Libra reaching a trine to both Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, anchored against Neptune's opposition from Aries. A kite formation takes the ease of a grand trine and gives it a tail to fly from, one point of real tension that turns effortless insight into something you can actually use. Let Neptune's opposition be the string in your hand, the very thing that makes today's clarity flyable.

September 13 (Sunday)

Mercury in Libra trines Uranus Rx in Gemini

The kite completes today as Mercury in Libra trines Uranus retrograde in Gemini, the second leg of the pattern that started forming on the twelfth. Where Saturday's Pluto trine gave you depth and Neptune's opposition gave you the tension to fly from, today's Uranus trine gives you the lift, a flash of insight that lands easily precisely because Uranus is retrograde and reviewing rather than announcing something entirely new. This is a day for trusting a sudden clear thought that connects to something you already sensed weeks ago rather than dismissing it as too easy. The whole kite, Mercury's fair-minded reach toward Pluto's depth, Neptune's honest tension, and now Uranus's spark, is a reminder that soul architecture sometimes assembles itself in the sky before you consciously build it. Your job today is simply to notice the shape and let it hold.
